Some Lesser Known Facts About Dheekshith Shetty
Dheekshith Shetty is an Indian actor known for his work in Telugu and Kannada films. He became a household name after playing the role of Siddham “Suri” Suryam in the 2023 Telugu film ‘Dasara.’
He worked at the National Cadet Corps in India before stepping into the showbiz industry.
After making his television debut with the TV show ‘Preethi Endarenu,’ he appeared in the Kannada TV show ‘Saakshi’ (2015) which aired on Udaya TV.
He rose to fame after playing the role of Arjun in the Kannada-language supernatural drama television series ‘Naagini’ (2016).

In 2017, he appeared as a contestant in the dance reality show ‘Dance Karnataka Dance: Family war season 1’ along with Deepika Das , his co-star in the show ‘Naagini.’ The actors won the dancing competition and received prize money of Rs 10 lakh along with the winner’s trophy.
Shetty was nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actor- Kannada’ at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) in 2020 for his performance as Rohit in his Kannada debut film ‘Dia’ (2020).
In 2021, he played a lead role in the Kannada film ‘KTM.’ In the film, he appeared in four different avatars, showcasing his character’s journey from his teenage to his mid-20s. In an interview, he talked about this and revealed that to play the teenage role, he lost 7kg of his body weight. He said,
We have finished shooting the teenage portions, which will see me in a lean avatar, for which I lost seven kgs.”
In 2022, he played the role of Apurva in the Kannada language science fiction ‘Blink.’
The actor also appeared in some Kannada language short films such as ‘Oh Fish’ (2020), ‘Navabelaku’ (2022), and Smile (2022).
In an interview, Shetty revealed that his Telugu debut film “The Rose Villa” was earlier decided to be made in the Kannada language. He added that the producer of the film withdraw his agreement after which they found another producer who made the film in the Telugu language, which ultimately marked Setty’s debut in the Telugu film industry. He said,
My recent film ‘Rose Villa’ was first planned as a Kannada project. But when the producer backed out, we found another producer from Hyderabad who insisted it should be made in Telugu. So that’s how I made my Telugu début.”
After making his Telugu debut with the film “The Rose Villa,” the actor appeared in some more Telugu films including ‘Mugguru Monagallu’ (2021) and ‘Dasara’ (2023).
In 2022, he appeared in the episode “In L(aw)ove” of the anthology drama TV series ‘Meet Cute,’ streaming on SonyLIV. The series was originally released in the Telugu language, but later was dubbed into Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi language.
The actor supports and often campaigns for ‘South Bengaluru Cares,’ an adoption centre that takes care of rescued puppies and kittens.
He is an animal lover and supports various pet adoption centres. He often campaigns for the pet adoption centre ‘South Bengaluru Cares,’ which works for the rescue of abandoned puppies and kittens.
