Dhanyadha JP is an Indian cyclist. She is known for breaking the national record by winning a 2 km individual pursuit silver medal in the Junior Asian Track Cycling Championship held in Nilai, Malaysia in June 2023.
She shifted from Tamil Nadu to Delhi in 2020 to receive formal training for cycling.
At the age of 12, she started cycling to stay fit. Over time, her interest in it grew, and she made up her mind to pursue it at the competitive level.
She initially started taking part in local races; however, she later started participating in races at the national and international levels.
Ā In 2019, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) selected her under the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, USA.
In November 2020, Dhanyadha was chosen under a special program by the Indian government called the National Centre of Excellence (NCoE) camp. This program is organized by the CFI and SAI.
She took part in the 73rd National Track Cycling Championship in 2021. This championship was organized by Rajasthan Road Riders and CFI. Dhanyadha JP at the 73rd National Track Cycling Championship 2021
In December 2022, she took part in the 51st Junior National Track Cycling Championship, representing Tamil Nadu. At this competition, she achieved remarkable success by winning a bronze medal in the Individual Time Trial Event by completing 500 meters in 40.48 seconds. In the Individual Pursuit Event, she won a silver medal by covering a 2-kilometer distance in 2 minutes 42 seconds. Moreover, she also set a new national record in the championship by completing 1500 meters in 1 minute 19 seconds in the Team Spirit Event.

Dhanyadha JP participated in the National Road Championship, held in Nashik, Maharashtra in January 2023. At this championship, she won two medals, a silver in the 15 Km Individual Time Trial and a Bronze in the 20 Km Team Time Trial in the sub-junior category.
In March 2023, she took part in the Khelo India Womenās Track Cycling League, where she won three gold medals, one in the 2000m individual pursuit, one in the 4km scratch race, and another one keirin race in the under-16 category. The league was held at the LNCPE Velodrome, Kerala.

She set a national record at the Asian Track Cycling Championship, held in Nilai, Malaysia in June 2023. In the championship, she took part in the 2 km category race and won a silver medal by completing the race in 2 minutes 28 seconds, breaking the previous record of 2 minutes 31 seconds. check sources The Times of India In the same championship, she was near to winning two more medals in the 7.5-km scratch race and the 4 km team pursuit. However, she lost the opportunity by a difference of 1.2 microseconds.

In August 2023, she took part in the Youth Commonwealth Games held in Trinidad and Tobago.
Dhanyadha initially used to compete in both sprint and endurance events. However, her coach later suggested that she should pursue cycling in the endurance category.
In an interview, she revealed that she dedicates six hours every day to her training.
In an interview, she discussed her diet plan and revealed that she consumes protein thrice a day. She said,
Our diet is well-balanced, with a focus on getting protein three times a day.ā
