In his second year of graduation in 1999, Dev Gill was shortlisted for the Gladrags’s Man Hunt, in which he was the fourth runner-up.
He moved to Mumbai after that to pursue modeling, but acting was what he always wanted to do.
He became a well-known name after he played the role of  Ranadev Billa and Raghuveer in the 2009 Telegu language blockbuster film Magadheera directed by the famous director S.S. Rajamouli.
