He runs a family business called H. R. Grinders aka H. R. Machine Tools in Ludhiana which deals in manufacturing machines such as grinding machines used in agriculture.

 In 2008, he appeared in the reality show ‘Boogie Woogie’ and performed Bhangra; the show aired on Sony Entertainment Television.
