Delbar Arya is a German actor who predominantly works in the Punjabi film industry. She is known for her appearance in Punjabi music videos like Guru Randhawa âs âDowntown.â
Delbar belongs to an artistic family. Her father, a veteran actor in Iran, boasts a remarkable career spanning over 50 years, while her mother is a singer.
Arya nurtured a deep-seated aspiration to become an actor. Since the age of 13, she has actively pursued her passion by participating in a diverse array of theatrical productions in Germany.
Her foray into acting was initiated during her theatrical tenure in Germany when she was selected for a Hindi film that was set to be featured at the Swedish Film Festival. According to Delbar, her life has always been deeply interwoven with the arts, with her passion and a longstanding dream of becoming an actor tracing back to her earliest years.
She did a one-month acting course at Anupam Kherâs Actor Prepares school in Mumbai.
She has honed her acting skills under the guidance of industry titans such as Manoj Bajpayee, Mukesh Chhabra, Vidya Balan, and Saurabh Sachdeva while participating in their intensive acting workshops.
Delbar Arya made her first appearance in the T-Series music video âDowntownâ with Guru Randhawa in 2018; the music video was released on 16 October 2018.
Her career trajectory then took her to numerous other music video projects including âOh Oh Jane Jaanaâ in 2020, where she shared the spotlight with Gurashish Singh, and âI Thinkâ in 2023, where she graced the screen alongside acclaimed singer Sajjan Adeeb and actor Jimmy Shergill.
After debuting in the Punjabi film industry in 2022, Delbar appeared as Tania in the romantic-comedy film âTu Hovein Main Hovanâ in 2023; she shared the screen with Jimmy Shergill in the film.
