Deepak Boxer is an Indian boxer turned gangster, who has been charged with several murders, robberies, and extortion. Prior to his arrest in 2023, he was considered to be one of Indiaās most wanted fugitives.
He started boxing training at the age of 12. Deepakās coach Anil Malik talked about him in an interview and said that when Deepak was selected for the Junior boxing team of India, he expressed his desire of becoming a professional boxer. He further said,

Deepak wanted to participate in the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.
When he was 15 years old, he became a national junior-level champion in boxing.
In 2009, he was appointed as a boxing apprentice by the Sports Authority of India.
At the 24th Sub-Junior Haryana State Boxing Championship in 2008ā09, Deepak won the best loser prize. The 27th Junior Men National Boxing Championships, the 39th Junior Men State Boxing Championships, and the 37th Junior Men Haryana State Boxing Championship all awarded him gold medals. At the 27th Sub-Junior Men Haryana State Boxing Championships (2012), he took home a silver medal. At the 39th Junior Men State Boxing Championships (2013), he was named best boxer.
He stopped boxing at the young age of 16 after losing a fight and gave up sports following tussles with other boxers.

Around 2014, Jitender Maan alias Gogiās partner Mohit Panchi, a local gangster, came into contact with Deepak. Eventually, Deepak got linked with the Jitender Gogi-led Gogi gang and the Lawrence Bishnoi -led Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Gogi was detained by the Panipat Police in 2016, but he managed to flee three months later when he was being taken to the court for a case hearing. Deepak was afterwards detained for being one of the 10 individuals who helped Gogi in escaping. Deepak was granted bail and released from jail in 2017, but he continued to engage in illegal activities. According to the police records, Deepak was in charge of the Gogi gangās unlawful enterprises before he rose to the position of leader. Deepak also assisted Gogiās assistant Kuldeep Maan alias Fazza to escape from police custody during a gunfight with Delhi Police on 25 March 2021 at GTB Hospital; Fajja lost his life during the police shooting. In order to aid Kuldeep Maan alias Fazza in evading capture by the police, Deepak tossed red chilli powder in their eyes.
Deepak allegedly teamed up with Goldy Brar , a Canadian thug who claimed responsibility for the murder of Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala . A police official revealed in an interview that Deepak was involved in four murder cases after he joined Gogiās parole,

Amit Gupta, a hotelier and realtor, was shot dead by Deepak Boxerās aides on 23 August 2022 in Burari, North Delhi. After being on the run for several months, Deepak revealed in a Facebook post that he killed Gupta and also mentioned that it was an act of revenge and not extortion. Additionally, Deepak claimed that Tillu Tajpuria, a well-known rival of the Gogi gang and the gangās financier, was involved in Guptaās murder. The social media post added that Amit Gupta informed the Gogi gangās boss, Kuldeep Maan alias Fazza, about the Special Cellās interactions with him. The Gogi gang leader also said that anyone who joined Tilluās gang would suffer the same repercussions.

He created a passport on the fake identity of Ravi Antil, hailing from Bareilly, and fled to Mexico from India in January 2023. Reportedly, he planned to enter the United States by illegally crossing the border via Mexico. Deepak had made all the preparations of running illegal operations from the US. Deepak first fled from Kolkata to Dubai and went to Mexico via Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Spain. The passport had the address of Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. Later, the Delhi Police revealed that Deepakās California-based cousin Sandeep helped him to reach Mexico.

Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal (often referred to as HGS), the Special Commissioner of the Special Cell, organised a team to find Deepak. As soon as the Delhi Police became aware that Deepak was in Mexico, they requested the Mexican authorities to deport him. A group of seasoned field officers was also dispatched to Mexico City to communicate with the FBI, police, and Embassy.
