His passion for soccer ignited at a tender age, attending his initial soccer camp when he was merely three years old. This enthusiasm led him to embark on a soccer career. By the time he turned nine, he began homeschooling to dedicate more time to his pursuit.

At the age of seven, Da’vian Kimbrough commenced his football journey with North Bay Elite Futbol Club in Solano County. Subsequently, he joined the Woodland Soccer Club in Yolo County.

In 2021, he became a part of the Sacramento Republic FC’s Youth Academy, participating in Under-13, Under-14, and Under-15 matches. During the 2021-22 season, he showcased remarkable performance, scoring 27 goals in 31 matches while playing for the Republic FC’s Under-13 team.

He contributed to the victory of the New York Red Bulls Academy team in the 2023 Bassevelde Under-13 Cup held in Belgium, securing the title for under-13 teams. His exceptional performance led him to receive the Tournament MVP Award.

On August 8, 2023, Kimbrough officially joined Sacramento Republic FC for the USL Championship, the second-tier soccer league in the USA. This achievement made him the youngest-ever professional athlete in US sports history, achieving this milestone at the age of 13 years, 5 months, and 13 days. Following the signing of his contract, Kimbrough expressed gratitude towards his parents, grandparents, and coaches, stating,
I want to thank my parents and grandparents and my coaches and the academy. They helped me grow to be the player I am. I thank them for believing in me.”
