  • Daniel made his first-class cricket debut for Canterbury during the 2017-18 Plunket Shield season in October 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Sydney Sixers in the 2017-18 Big Bash season on 19 December 2017.

  • During his Twenty20 debut, Daniel took four wickets for fourteen runs; making it the best figure by any debutant in the tournament. On 18 September 2018, he made his List A debut for New South Wales in the 2018-19 JLT One-Day Cup.
