Some Lesser Known Facts About Daniel Lopes
Daniel Lopes was born in Brazil. At the age of 5, Lopes’ father passed away.
Later, his elder sister passed away in a car accident. At the age of 15, he moved to GĂĽtersloh, Germany, with his mother and older brother.

His mother remarried and later Lopes was adopted by his stepfather.
After completing his secondary school, he completed an apprenticeship as an insurance salesman.
In 2001, he appeared in the German reality singing competition The Dome on RTL2. During the filming of the series, he was a part of the US US boy band duo “DJ.”
He gained fame as a singer in 2002 after he participated in the first season of the German reality television talent show Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar. He ended up at the 7th number in the finale of the show.

After he was eliminated from the show, he signed a record deal and released his first single track.
At the time of the release of his first single, the first season of Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar was still running on television, which led to a breach of contract for Lopes and he was removed from the label and all the songs.
Later, Daniel Lopes met French record producer and DJ Bob Sinclar and found his passion for house and electronic music.
In 2004, he appeared in the German reality show Die Alm. In the finale, he shared the fifth position with another contestant Gunter Gabriel.
In 2004, he participated in the RTL “Celebrity Boxing” competition. In the competition, he competed against actor Dustin Semmelrogge and lost the fight in the third round due to a technical knockout.
In 2011, Lopes appeared in the German reality television talent show Das Supertalent. The next year, he appeared on the survival reality television show I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!.
In 2012, Daniel Lopes filed for bankruptcy.
He has recorded various tracks including I Love You More Than Yesterday (2003), Last Christmas/I Used To Cry (2003), and Change the World (2005).
