In 2005, while he was serving as an SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) at Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, he handled the high-profile criminal case of Nirbhay Gujjar. Later, Nirbhay Gujjar was encountered by the UP Police Task Force.
As the SSP of Etawah, he had a track record of eliminating 32 dacoits within a year and a half.
In 2017, he played a vital part as ADG (Additional Director General) in catching Saifullah, a self-radicalised ISIS operative.
In 2020, he completed a paratrooper course at the Army Airborne Training School (AATS) and Parachute Training School (PTS) in Agra. He is one of the few IPS officers to have achieved such a feat.
