Controversies • University of the Arts London incident (2024)
In Septemer 2024 Myrie during a Q&A session, at the University of the Arts London (UAL) where he had been recently appointed Chancellor. The session was interrupted by some pro-Palestinian students. He was accusing him for doing biased reporting on the Israel- Palestine conflicts. During this event students existed the venue without listening to his response. Late in the same event Myrie addressed the audience, by criticizing the students exist and called them f****** idiots and lunatic. Later that students also filed a peitiion on Change.org, stating that Clive Myrie behaviour was unbecoming of a chancellor, and his inappropriate behaviour would set a wrong example to the students. check sources

  • Clive Myrie was born and raised in a middle-class family. His family consisted of a Jamaican immigrant who came to the United Kingdom in the 1960s.
