Some Lesser Known Facts About Christine Dawood
Christine Dawood is a German-born British entrepreneur, organisational psychologist, executive coach, and trustee of The Dawood Foundation. She made headlines in the 2023 Titan submersible incident in which her husband, Shahzada Dawood , and son, Suleman Dawood , died in the North Atlantic Ocean during a tourist expedition to view the wreck of the Titanic on 18 June 2023.
She obtained an Executive MSc in Consulting and Coaching for Change from HEC Paris with a commendation grade. The topic of her thesis was “Succession in high heels or why neckties still dominate the family business.”
Her other qualifications include Primary Certificate in Stress Management from Centre for Coaching, UK, issued in September 2018. She is an ACTP Accredited Coach with the Bailey Balfour Coach Certification. He is also an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) qualified by UK ICF. In September 2017, 3 Minute Mile issued her Hogan Level 1 Certification (HPI, HDS, MVPI). She is BPS Qualified Test User (RQTU) Ability and Personality and is accredited to use: HPI, HDS, MVPI, Strenghtscope, ECR (Emotional Capital Report), and 15FQ+.
Christine Dawood got married to Shahzada Dawood when she was 23.
She has worked across a range of sectors, including retail, textiles, engineering, agriculture, consultancy, mental health, training and development, and change management throughout her career during which she lived in Germany, Pakistan, and Singapore.
Her career began in September 1992 when she started working as a retail clerk at Karstadt, a Department store chain located in Rosenheim.
Following that, she worked as an interior decorator at Raumaustattung Neumann in Rosenheim until August 1998. In 2004, she established her own organic farming company called Imhotep Organics Pvt Ltd. in Lahore, Pakistan.
In 2010, she transitioned into the role of a Family Advisor at Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited, which is the family business of Shahzada Dawood.
In 2018, she founded Next Step Now and currently serves as a Professional Development Coach within the organization.
Additionally, in March 2019, she began working as a Freelance Trainer in Wellbeing at Work for Human Footprint in Paris. Her tenure at Human Footprint lasted until November 2019.
She holds the position of trustee at The Dawood Foundation, a non-profit organization established by Ahmed Dawood, Shahzada Dawood’s grandfather. The foundation’s main purpose is to back and advance educational projects in the areas of science, technology, and research within Pakistan. Various institutions in Pakistan that operate under the foundation are Dawood Public School, Dawood College of Engineering, and Karachi School of Business and Leadership.

On 18 June 2023, Christine Dawood’s husband, Shahzada Dawood , and son, Suleman Dawood , went missing in the 2023 Titan submersible incident along with Hamish Harding , Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and Stockton Rush . The submersible, operated by OceanGate Expeditions, was on a tourist expedition to view the wreck of the Titanic, the popular British passenger liner which sank in the North Atlantic on 15 April 1912 after colliding with an iceberg. Reportedly, passengers had paid $250,000 for the trip. Communication was lost with Titan one hour and 45 minutes after its dive, and the authorities were notified when it did not resurface at its scheduled time later that day. Thereafter, a rescue operation was launched to retrieve the five passengers of the submersible.
