After appearing in the 2002 Hindi film ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata,’ he took a break and made a comeback in Hindi films with the 2006 film ‘Sarhad Paar.’

In 2009, he met with a major accident while water skiing in Goa. While skiing, he lost grip on the ski and the speed of the boat was so high that his right hand was pulled off his shoulder joint. After which he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and doctors asked him to take a bed rest for a few months. In an episode of the TV show Koffee With Karan, while Salman Khan
was invited as a guest, Salman shared that he was the one to agree to play the role of Aman in the Hindi film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (1998) even when the Indian actors like Saif Ali Khan
and Chandrachur Singh who were unemployed at that time rejected the offer. Chandrachur denied it and in one of his Instagram comments, Singh wrote, “Jhoot Salman Ka.” Later, he deleted the comment. check sources
