| Controversy | A Tiff with the Makers of a Show Chanti gained immense popularity with his debut TV comedy show ‘Jabardasth’ (2013), but due to some issues, he left the show thrice. During an interview, when he was asked about the same, he said, "My name did not come due to Jabardast. I came to the Jabardasth show where I made films. I went out to the Jabardasth show three times. If someone goes out, they will not be taken back into the show. This is their rule. But they respected me. Because I have never spoken wrong about anyone. No matter what..whatever goes wrong..they ask right away. Everyone knows this. Once I said that I will take a gap of three months. I felt a headache after doing it continuously, so I took rest. The second time I went with my personal problems. For the third time, 27 days of shooting were in the US schedule. I don’t have the level to talk about anyone.” He further shared that he had a tiff with the makers of the show when he came to know that other comedians in the show were being paid more than him. He was born and brought up in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

After dropping out of college, he worked as a customer executive at Tata Telecommunications in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Simultaneously, he used to perform as a part-time mimicry artist at Hussain Sagar Tourism Boat Rides.
He then worked as a manager in a guest house to earn a living.
Later, he got an opportunity to work as an RJ at Radio Mirchi. He then hosted a radio show ‘Chanti Bank,’ which became popular.

In 2013, the Telugu film producer Shyam Prasad Reddy offered Chanti to perform in the TV comedy show ‘Jabardasth’ as a team leader of the team ‘Chalaki Chanti & Team.’ He agreed to it. He gained immense popularity with the TV show.
Chanti has performed in many popular Telugu TV comedy shows such as ‘Connexion’ (2015), ‘Pataas’ (2015), and ‘Sudheer Gaadi Intlo Deyyam’ (2019).
For his comedy skills, he received the 6th Annual Padmamohana Award in 2016.

In 2016, Chanti uploaded a post on his Facebook account which offended a fan of the Indian actor Prabhas . The fan started posting abusive comments on Chanti’s post.
