| Controversies | Devotees of Shirdi Saibaba protest against his remarks In 2012, Chaganti Koteswara Rao made remarks about worshipping Shirdi Saibaba during a discourse. He claimed that Saibaba's idol should not be worshipped as other Gods and Godesses as he was a human being. This statement hurt the sentiments of Saibaba devotees. In 2016, devotees protested against Chaganti Koteswara Rao for making such remarks. Chaganti Koteswara Rao developed an interest in reading Hindu Shastras and Puranas during his school days.
He participated in many essay writing and elocution competitions on ancient Indian wisdom during his school days in Eluru.
After graduating from college, he worked as a government employee at the Food Corporation of India in Kakinada.
Initially while starting his journey in preaching, his wife supported him financially and his children motivated him to follow his passion.
In 1998, he was encouraged by his mother to start preaching Hindu Vedic texts.
In August 2018, he retired from the Food Corporation of India in Kakinada.
In 2016, he was selected as the cultural advisor for the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
He has orated religious discourses based on musical films Sankarabharanam (1980) and Sruthilayalu (1987).
