Controversies Allegations Against Sean Diddy Combs
Cassie Ventura was in a relationship with music producer Sean "Diddy" Combs from 2007 to 2018. In November 2023, she filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of abusing her over ten years. She said he was violent, controlling, and involved her in sex trafficking during their relationship. The lawsuit was filed under a New York law that lets survivors of sexual abuse sue even if the usual deadline has passed.
Ventura claimed the abuse started when their relationship began and included serious physical violence and a rape in 2018 after she tried to leave him. Combs’ lawyer denied all the claims. However, the day after the lawsuit was filed, both sides agreed to settle the case privately. Later, Ventura confirmed she received $20 million in the settlement.
In May 2024, CNN news channel released a hotel video from 2016 that showed Combs was physically attacking Ventura. After the video became public, Combs posted an apology video, admitting what he did to Cassie Ventura. In May 2025, Ventura began testifying in a federal case against Combs, where he faces charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution. check sources
