  • C. P. Radhakrishnan joined organizations like the RSS and the Jan Sangh when he was 16 years old.

  • During his college days, he was a table tennis player and a skilled long-distance runner in athletics.

  • After completing his formal education, he manufactured briefs and vests and sold them under his brand, “SPICE” in India.

  • He then became the first exporter from Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, to introduce cotton knitted fabric to Bangladesh. He expanded his fabric business in Bangladesh and other countries from 1985 to 1998.

  • C. P. Radhakrishnan served as a member of the Lok Sabha twice. He contested as a BJP candidate in the 1998 and 1999 general elections, after the 1998 Coimbatore bombings.

  • He won the 1998 election by more than 150,000 votes and the 1999 election by 55,000 votes.
