During his school days, Benson Boone became known for his diving skills.

After completing high school, his friend, Eric Magelsen, invited him to join a ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition a week before the event.
Benson Boone knew how to play the piano, so he agreed to join the band.
The band also needed a lead singer, so Eric advised Boone to take the role. He had never sung before.
During practice time, his singing was normal, but during the competition, he performed very well.
The band won the competition, and his singing talent surprised his friends and family.
According to his parents, they had never heard Benson Boone sing before.
After that, his family members and friends encouraged him to use his talent.
Benson Boone started singing the national anthem at school events and began posting videos on TikTok, which became viral.
He was surprised by his sudden success.

After that, Dan Reynolds, the lead singer of Imagine Dragons, noticed him and signed him to Night Street Records under Warner Records.
