Badal hails from Delhi. He grew up in a Himachali joint family and often talks about his roots, traditions, food, and unique experiences in his comedy.

Since his school days, he enjoyed poetry and shayari, which later influenced his storytelling style in stand-up.
His first performance as a stand-up comedian was at the Canvas Laugh Club in Delhi during his college years. However, he backed out of that initial open mic because he felt unprepared and nervous. Shortly after, he gained confidence and began performing at small college open mics and local comedy events, which marked the beginning of his career as a stand-up comedian.

After completing an MBA in International Business, he started working as a research analyst at Vaco Binary Semantics LLP, Gurugram. He has worked there for eight years.

Since 2018, he has been working as a full-time stand-up comedian and poet.
