He attracted controversy in May 2025 when he uploaded a video on his social media account, in which he named many prominent Bollywood actors and claimed that he has been "isolated" in the film industry. A few hours after uploading the video, Babil not only took the video down but also deactivated his social media account. Later, his family issued a clarification statement, claiming that his video was taken out of context and misinterpreted. Thereafter, he reactivated his account.
