Some Lesser Known Facts about Baba Siddique
Baba Siddique was born in a middle-class family in Gopalganj, Bihar.
When he was five years old, he shifted to Mumbai with his father, where he grew up.
In 1977, while he was in college, he joined the National Students Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Indian National Congress as a student leader.
As a member of the Mumbai chapter of NSUI, Baba Siddique took part in various student movements.
In 1980, Siddique was appointed as the General Secretary of the Bandra Taluka of the Bandra Youth Congress.
Two years later, he was elected as the President of the Bandra Youth Congress.
In 1988, he was appointed as the president of the Mumbai Youth Congress.
In 2011, he deployed a total amount of Rs. 1.18 crores out of his area development funds for building the Bandra-Khar Eco-Garden. check sources The Times of India

He remained in the limelight for his association with Bollywood celebrities. Â He was close to several Bollywood stars, including Salman Khan , Shah Rukh Khan , and Sanjay Dutt .
Every year, he used to host a lavish Iftar party at the end of Ramadan, and all major celebrities, politicians, and businessmen were invited as party guests.

Apparently, it was during Siddique’s 2013 iftar party that the Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan ended their much-discussed rift with a hug.

During the Covid-19 period, Baba earned praise for supplying life-saving medicines to patients.
On 12 October 2024, Baba was assassinated by three armed assailants who fired several rounds of ammunition at him at around 9:30 at night while he was standing near his son’s office. Following his death, the shooters who carried out the attack claimed that they belonged to Lawrence Bishnoi ‘s gang. Two out of the three attackers were taken into custody by the Mumbai Police later.
During the police investigation, the shooters informed the police that they learned to operate the firearms by watching YouTube videos for around 4 weeks as they could not find an open space for practice in Mumbai.
