Inclined towards acting since childhood, Ayesha used to participate in various events in school. Soon after completing her higher secondary education, Ayesha shifted to Chennai to pursue her graduation. Later, she made her television debut in a Tamil reality show Ready Steady Po (2017) after which she was called for an audition for the television show Ponmagal Vanthal (2018). check sources The Times of India

In 2018, she made her acting debut with Sun TV’s Tamil show Maya in which she played the role of Rani Lakshmi Prabhavati.

In an interview, Ayesha recalled her audition for the television show Ponmagal Vanthal and said that in the audition she was asked to enact a daughter who was not on talking terms with her mother. Further, she revealed that at that time, her real mother was not speaking to her, which helped her to deliver natural acting in the audition. She quoted,
I was skeptical when I went for the audition. The scene they had asked me to enact was that of a daughter who is not on talking terms with her mother. At that time, my mother was really not talking to me. So, I could play the scene in a realistic manner. And finally, I was chosen for the role. I made my debut as a heroine in Ponmagal Vanthal. In 2018, Ayesha appeared in the television show Ponmagal Vanthal in which she played the lead role of Rohini Selvam Gautham. Subsequently, she worked in various other Tamil television shows like Savitramma Gari Abbayi (2019), Sathya (2019), Sembaruthi (2021), and Sathya 2 (2021).

In 2021, she participated in the Zee reality show Super Queen. In a media interview, Ayesha talked about the reality show and said,
I got so used to playing Sathya, wearing a shirt, trousers, and strolling like Sathya, that I feel like losing the feminine touch. Here in Super Queen, I get to compete with 11 other queens.
