| Controversies | Not allowed to board flight On 29 December 2017, when her husband Shikhar Dhawan , along with Ayesha and their kids were travelling to Cape Town to play against South Africa, Ayesha and kids were stopped at Dubai airport from boarding the flight as they weren't having birth certificates for the kids.  Cruelty against Shikhar Dhawan After Ayesha announced her divorce with Shikhar Dhawan , they had a battle for cutody for their son, Zoravar, as Shikhar alleged that Ayesha did not allow him to meet his son. She responded by sharing defamatory posts against Shikhar and also sent messages to Shikhar's friends, family, and other cricket officials following which Shikhar registered a police complaint against Ayesha to stop her committing such acts.  A Delhi family court gave in verdict in favour of Shikhar on 4 October 2023 and said that Ayesha was mentally harassing Shikhar by keeping their son, Zorawar, away from him. Ayesha Mukherjee is an Australian fitness influencer, entrepreneur, and former kickboxer. She hit the headlines in 2023 after her divorce from the Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan .
She and her family moved to Australia when she was 7 years old where she started training in kickboxing and later fought as a kickboxer in several tournaments.
Ayesha was introduced to Shikhar by their common friend Harbhajan Singh on Facebook. Later, they both got into a relationship and got married. Shikhar’s parents were against their marriage initially, due to their age gap of 8 years.

I felt that I was letting my parents down, I felt that I was letting my children down and even to some extent I felt as if I was letting God down. Divorce was such a dirty word. So now imagine, I have to go through it a second time. Woooahhhhhh. That is terrifying. Being divorced once before already, felt like I had more at stake the second time round. I had more to prove. So when my second marriage broke down it was really scary.”
