Ashwini participated in a popular Indian dating show âMTV Splitsvillaâ in its seasons 6 and 7 in 2013 and 2014, respectively. It was his first TV appearance.

Initially, Ashwini aspired to become a VJ. Hence, he participated in âMTV Splitsvillaâ to become one. After he participated in season 1 of the show, he started getting acting offers, which he could not decline. As a result, he became an actor.
While in Splitsvilla, he made headlines for kissing Sanjana Ganesan in front of the camera without caring about people around.
During season 1 of the show âMTV Splitsvilla,â Ashwini confessed that before coming in the show, he was dating two girls at the same time. Later, he broke up with both because he was bored with them.
Ashwini started his career as a model for Jabong.com.
In 2014, he was featured in the Sprite advertisement along with the actor Pulkit Samrat .
He quit the Sony TVâs serial âTara From Sataraâ (2019) to participate in Bigg Boss. Reportedly, his another reason to quit the show was that he wasnât too pleased with the story of the serial.
