Ashwini Kalsekar has worked as an air hostess before entering the field of acting. In fact, she was a flight attendant even during her first TV show ‘Shanti’.
As Ashwini Kalsekar was not a trained actor, so she joined theatre and started learning acting under Neena Gupta and Muzammeel Vakil (theatre acting coach) to improve her acting skills (1993-1995).
She is a trained Kathak dancer.
Ashwini Kalsekar acted in many Marathi films and TV serials in the 90’s. She got critically acclaimed for her performance in ‘Kasamh Se’ (2006) as Jigyasa Walia. She also won a few awards for her performance in the serial.
