A woman he met on Instagram said he invited her to a house party in mid-August, where he allegedly raped her in a washroom. She claimed it was filmed and also accused the host's wife of assaulting her, though no video was found. The FIR first named Kapoor, his friend, the friend's wife, and two others, but she later stated that only Kapoor raped her.
