Some Lesser Known Facts About Arif Zakaria
Arif was born in a Konkani Muslim family.
He is the cousin of well-known Indian-American journalist âFareed Zakariaâ and brother of Indian politician âAsif Zakariaâ who is the member of Indian National Congress.
His uncle âRafiq Zakariaâ was also the member of Congress party and served as deputy to the Congress leader âIndira Gandhi .â
He started working as a theatre artist when he was in college and did more than 700 shows all over the world.
He was also the part of the popular Australian musical âThe Merchants of Bollywoodâ that is based on the story of Indian choreographer âVaibhavi Merchant â and her grandfather âB. Hiralal.â
Arif Zakaria got his first break in 1987 in the TV serial âChunautiâ that aired on DD National.
