| Controversy | Booked for hurting religious sentiments On 21 June 2024, the Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) filed a police complaint against Archana Makwana. They accused her of hurting the religious sentiments of Sikh people by performing headstand (Shirsasana) on the premises of the Golden Temple and posting her pictures on Instagram. She also received death and rape threats for her actions after which she was given protection by the Vadodara police. She later deleted her pictures from Instagram and issued a public apology in which she said that she was not aware of the rules of the Golden Temple and by performing Shirsasana, her intend was not to hurt someone's sentiments, rather, she wanted to spread awareness about yoga.  |

Archana Makwana had a passion for fashion designing since she was a child.

After completing her graduation, she started her fashion brand named ‘House of Archana’ in 2006.
In the same year, she did a photoshoot for The Times of India, featuring actor Farooq Shaikh’s favorite horses.

In 2016, she started her fashion brand Archana’s Fashion House.
