After completing her formal education, Aparna Thakur began working as a journalist at the Time of India magazine and worked there from 20 October 1990 to 30 December 1995.
She then worked as a freelance photographer at Filmfare âGâ showtime film magazine from 21 September 1991 to 2000.
From 22 February 1996 to 1998, Aparna Thakur worked as a public relations officer for various television artists, singers, and theatre artists.
After leaving Filmfare âGâ magazine, she founded Amara Models, a foreign model agency, and worked there from 22 October 2014 to 2016.
