Anudeep was born into a middle-class Telegu family.
He has been a bright student and athlete from his childhood.
He has a keen interest in ‘History’ and considers the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, as his inspiration.
While doing his degree, he developed an interest in civil services. On his first attempt, he had cleared the UPSC preliminary and mains exam, but failed to clear the interview, after which he joined ‘Google India’ as a software engineer in Hyderabad, and side-by-side continued to prepare for the UPSC exam.
In his fifth attempt, he topped the UPSC exam of 2017.
He took Anthropology as his optional subject.
He didn’t take any coaching to prepare for the UPSC exam. Instead, he did the majority of his preparation via YouTube and Google.
Before clearing the UPSC exam, he was working as an Assistant Commissioner (P) at Indian Revenue Service, Government of India, since 2014, and was posted in Hyderabad.
He is a good friend of Ira Singhal, who topped the UPSC Civil Services Exam of 2014.
