Anu secured 2nd rank in the UPSC exam of 2017 and was the 1st amongst the female candidates.Â
Before clearing the UPSC exam, she was working for a private company for 9 years and was earning ₹20 lakh/year.
In 2016, she left her job at Aviva Life Insurance and started her preparation for UPSC civil services exam.
For the IAS preparation, she took admission in Nice Institute, Delhi.Â
The same year, she gave her first attempt for the UPSC civil services, but missed the prelims by just 1 mark.
Despite having various responsibilities, she used to study for 10-12 hours daily. Such was her dedication that since June 2016, she was living with her parents in Sonipat, so that she could concentrate on her studies.
