Some Lesser Known Facts About Anmol Kharb
Anmol Kharb started competing in badminton championships at the school level. She was a member of the Dayanand Public School badminton team.
Anmol Kharb reached the finals of her very first state championship.
She played her first nationals in the same year when she played her first state championship. However, she faced defeat in the quarterfinals of her first U-13 nationals.

In the next year, she was defeated by Samayra Pawar, a top-ranked player then, in the U-15 nationals.
She later moved to Noida from Faridabad to train at the Sunrise Shuttlers Academy. Her mother also moved to Noida with her to support her and take care of her diet.
In 2019, Anmol won the U-17 All India Ranking title in Hyderabad and won her first national-level title at the age of 12.
In 2019, she lost the semi-finals of the Senior All India Ranking tournament in Visakhapatnam.
She qualified for the Government of India’s Khelo India scheme in 2019 under which young athletes are provided assistance and training to improvise their game.
In 2020, she won the U-17 Sub-Junior National championships in both the singles and the doubles categories. She played alongside Vennala K in the doubles category.

In 2022, she reached the pre-quarterfinals of the  Asian Junior Championships.
In 2022, she was ranked as India’s top badminton player in both the under-17 and under-19 categories.
In 2023, Anmol won a gold medal at the All India Junior Ranking Tournament held in Panchkula.

In December 2023, she won the 85th Senior National Badminton Championship held in Guwahati by defeating Tanvi Sharma in the finals; it was her first senior national title.
In December 2023, Anmol was awarded 5 years of free support from the state-of-the-art Manav Rachna Sports Science Centre and a complete academic scholarship at the Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies.
In January 2024, she won a gold medal at the Yonex Sunrise All India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament held in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
In 2024, she was a member of the Indian Badminton team alongside P. V. Sindhu and Ashmita Chaliha who won a gold medal at the 2024 Badminton Asia Team Championships held in Selangor, Malaysia. With this win, the Indian women’s badminton team scripted history as it was the first time India won a medal in the women’s category at the Badminton Asia Team Championship.

Anmol Kharb hit the headlines for her performance at the 2024 Badminton Asia Team Championships. She played 3 matches in the championship which were all decider matches, leading India to win the championship.
She won the finals by defeating Pornpicha Choeikeewong of Thailand who held a world ranking of 45 with a score of 21-14, 21-9 in just 43 minutes.

To increase her physical strength, she trains with a former international-level boxer every day at 5:00 AM.
She is known for her smashes in the badminton court.
She devotes 6 hours to practice every day.
She used to skate before pursuing badminton professionally. In an interview, while talking about why she chose to pursue badminton professionally and not skating, she said,
In skating, I would often get pushed from behind by other competitors. My feet were always grazed and bruised, so I got fed up. Badminton was indoors and safe.”
Some of the staple foods of her diet include milk, halwa, and bajra rotis.
In an interview, Anmol mentioned that she opted for legal studies in class 11 and wanted to become a lawyer or a judge.
