Ankush Anami is an Indian businessman who founded the biggest community of fashion designers in India, the World Designing Forum in 2017. He is passionate about giving young designers an international stage and encouragement.
He has conducted various fashion-related conferences, events, and projects to help the design community. With his non-profit MIK Foundation, he actively promotes women’s empowerment, healthcare, and education.
Ankush Anami came from modest roots, but his vision and diligence have brought him several awards for revolutionising the social impact projects and design business in India.
He showed an interest in art and design at a young age. He was raised in a middle-class family but he fought against financial constraints to follow his aspirations.
He planted the seeds for his eventual business endeavour and PMP-USA.
In 2017, Ankush Anami started his entrepreneurial adventure by establishing the World Designing Forum, which was intended to serve as a worldwide forum for aspiring fashion designers. The forum offers financial support, career chances, mentoring, and yearly awards as well as conferences and workshops.
The promoter of Indian designers and handloom materials, Ankush Anami has planned significant fashion events such as the World Fashion Designers Conclave.
As CEO, he has grown the forum to become the biggest design community in India, winning him recognition for advancing the nation’s design sector. Through the MIK Foundation and World Couture League Foundation, he also spearheads charitable projects.
Over the past few years, more than 25,000 fashion designers have participated in the National Designer Awards.
In 2023, renowned fashion designers from across the country also received awards, including luminaries such as:
