Some Lesser Known Facts About Anindita Paul
She grew up in a middle-class Bengali family in Guwahati, Assam.
Her parents have been inclined towards singing from their younger days. After watching her parents perform at various events, she started developing an interest in music at a very young age.
When she was four years old, she heard the song āLaaga Chunari Mein Daagā at a jalsa. She loved the song and expressed her desire to become a singer to his parents. Her mother then enrolled her in a music academy.
She started professional singing at the age of 10 while studying at South Point School in Guwahati.
Initially, she did her training in singing at Dwipen Roy of Guwahati, and later, went to Kolkata for higher level training, where she learned singing from Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty.
At a very young age, she started doing stage programs. She then started working as a bhajan singer in All India Radio Guwahati.
In 2000, she recorded a few songs for the Assamese album āBilot Tire Birai Podumor Pahi Oye.ā Soon, she started receiving offers from many Assamese music directors.

In 2001, she lent her voice to the composition of popular Assamese musician Zubeen Garg in the Assamese film āPrem Aru Prem.ā She received critical acclaim for her work.
She sang the song for the 2004 Hindi TV series āRemix.ā
In 2006, Paul, along with Lata Mangeshkar , recorded a song for the Chhattisgarhi film āBhakla.ā
A year later, she performed at the Spirit of Unity Concert for Universal Integration in Visakhapatnam.
She is known for her classical songs and has sung romantic songs in various films for different music directors.
In 2014, Anindita Paul lent her voice to the Assamese album āRaagā for the songs Ayee Joon Jilmil Xondhiya, Tuptup Shore Endhar, and Akou Ebar.

She has also sung for a few TV advertisements like Herbalife, Fair & Lovely, iBall Andi Hd6, and Action Flotter. She has also lent her voice in the advertisement of the Pakistani product Care Honey Lotion.
Anindita Paul has been nominated two times for National Film Awards for the song āKor Ejak Shopun Jen Boroshunā from the 2004 Assamese film āDinabandhuā and the song āBiphol Sokupanireā from the 2011 Assamese film āJetuka Pator Dore.ā
She has lent her voice to the 2018 Assamese film āAjanite Mone Mone.ā The film is directed by Assamese film director Upakul Bordolo.
