Some Lesser Known Facts About Animesh Agarwal
Animesh was preparing for the final level of the CA course before coming into gaming. He has also completed the level one of CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst_)_ and FRM (Financial Risk Manager).
Animesh started gaming during his college days; the first game he played was Boom Beach.
Animesh picked his gaming name ‘8bit Thug’ from a song in the movie The Dictator.
Animesh has more than 100 sneakers in his collection of expensive shoes.

After Animesh achieved his desired academic results, he took a year’s break from his studies to pursue a gaming career to which his parents agreed.
In 2018, Animesh began his professional Esports journey as a PUBG Mobile player.
Animesh represented India at the Asia finals of the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge 2018 (PMSC 2018) in Thailand. It was one of the first official PUBG Mobile events, and he was part of the first Indian roster to participate in it.

Animesh’s perception of the gaming industry changed after meeting Krafton’s former CEO Brendan Greene and head of localization Jay Kim.
After PMSC 2018, Animesh decided to quit professional gaming. He later collaborated with Team SouL and merged their organizations to form S8UL Esports.

In late 2020, Animesh launched 8-bit creatives to nurture gaming talent in the country.
Animesh made significant progress in promoting gaming & Esports in India in partnership with Nodwin Gaming & LOCO.

Animesh made headlines in April 2024 when he met the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi  along with other gamers such as Tirth Mehta, Payal Dhare , Anshu Bisht, Naman Mathur , Mithilesh Patankar , and Ganesh Gangadhar .
