In October 2020, he was assigned the antitrust lawsuit against Google after the United States Department of Justice sued Google over its violation of federal antitrust laws.
He became a Judge at the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in 2021.
He has presided over several cases related to the United States Capitol attack that occurred on 6 January 2021 which resulted in over $2 million damage and more than 140 injured policemen.
On 18 February 2022, he rejected US President Donald Trump âs claim of âabsolute immunityâ from lawsuits after finding evidence of him being a co-conspirator with a few organised groups who indulged in violence during the Capitol attack.
He is a member of the Council for Court Excellence.
On 5 August 2024, he ruled that Google had violated the antitrust laws and acted as a monopolist. In his 277-page judgement, he wrote,
After having carefully considered and weighed the witness testimony and evidence, the court reaches the following conclusion: Google is a monopolist, and it has acted as one to maintain its monopoly.â
