Initially, Amit joined the Shri Ebrahim Alkaziâs Living Theatre Academy of Drama, New Delhi.
He started his acting career in 1994 by playing the role of Vijay in the TV serial âShanti.â
He also acted in some famous Hindi films like âLOC Kargilâ (2003) as Major Ajay Singh Jasrotia, âLakshyaâ (2004) as IMA Company Commander, etc.
He worked in different languages like Hindi, English, Marathi, Punjabi, and Urdu.
He also gives lectures to the students on art, culture & entertainment at Media & Management schools.
On 21 September 2016, his flat caught fire due to short circuit and he suffered a huge loss. His pets (1 dog and 2 birds) lost their lives in that accident.
