Alok Rajwade wanted to become an actor since childhood. He began performing in theatre plays during his school days.
While studying in college, he was a part of the theatre groups Aasakta Kalamanch and Samanvay.
In 2007, he worked as an actor in a Hindi theatre play titled ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom.’
He started a theatre group named ‘Natak Company’ in 2008.
He essayed the lead role of Ashu in the award-winning short Bhojpuri film ‘Udedh Bun’ (2008).
In 2009, he received immense praise for his performance in the Hindi play ‘Bed ke Neeche Rehne Wali’ (The Girl Who Lives Under The Bed), written by Jitendra Joshi and Sagar Deshmukh.

In the same year, he acted in the Marathi theatre play ‘Dalan.’

He worked as a director for the Hindi play ‘A Doubtful Gaze at Uber at Midnight.’ The play was staged at Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa in 2018.
He appeared as a co-host along with Mrinmayee Godbole in the Marathi YouTube video series ‘Safe Journeys’ (2019), which focused on the problems about sex and sexuality that teenagers and young adults face. He also directed two episodes of the series. The video series was uploaded on the YouTube channel Prayas Health Group.
