Alka Ajith grew up in a middle-class family in Thalassery.

In 2000, Alka gave her first public performance. She sang the Hindi song “Soldier … … Soldier…” at the event. She then continued performing in various stage shows and live events.

For around seven years, she did her training in singing under the musician Shyamala Venkateswaran.
In 2003, her name was entered in the Limca Book of World Records.

Alka Ajith started her training in singing under her father from a very young age. She considers her father her first guru.
In 2009, she moved from Kerala to Chennai along with her family.
She is well-versed in playing the guitar and sitar.

She has appeared as a guest in the reality TV singing show Airtel Super Singer 3 and Airtel Super Singer Junior 4.
When she was four years old, she lent her voice to the audio album ‘I Love My India.’
At the age of 9, she won the Tamil reality TV show ‘Airtel Super Singer Junior Season 2’ telecasted on Vijay TV.
She has sung more than 5,000 songs in 11 languages. She has also performed in more than 500 music programs across India.
She has performed along with her father in his orchestra group Sangeet Sagar.
On 29 April 2015, she started her music band.
Alka has sung songs in a few Malayalam films like ‘Thatsamayam Oru Penkutty’ (2012) and ‘Deffedar’ (2016).
