While he was pursuing graduation, the former Indian cricketer Krishnamachari Srikanth was his collegemate.
In the late 1980s, he appeared in various Telugu films like ‘Captain Nagarjun’ (1986), ‘Agni Putrudu’ (1987), ‘Murali Krishnudu’ (1988), ‘Geetanjali’ (1989), and ‘Siva’ (1989).
