Some Lesser Known Facts About Akangsha Rawat
Soon after her birth, her family moved to Delhi where her father worked in the hotel industry.

She began working as an event manager at the beginning of her career before turning to modelling.
Her motherâs encouragement helped her to pursue acting as a career in Indian television as her mother enjoyed watching Indian TV shows.
She has appeared in various TV shows including âPalampur Expressâ (2009), âRadhaKrishnâ (2018-2023), âShiv Shakti â Tap Tyaag Taandavâ (2023-2024), and âLakshmi Narayan â Sukh Samarthya Santulanâ (2024).

She filed for divorce in 2017 after finding out that her husband had cheated on her multiple times. She talked about her divorce in an interview and said,
Piyush was cheating on me, and I caught him on that within the first six months of our marriage. I gave him chances, but he did not change. Seems he had taken me to be his nurse and money provider. I was deeply shocked. He had portrayed himself to me as someone who hadnât been in any relationship before our marriage.â
In 2018, she moved to Uttarakhand to live with her mother who was unwell and nursed her for six months before her death.
In 2020, she moved to Bir Billing near Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh and later to Uttarakhand as she felt burnt out after living alone in her flat in Mumbai during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She studied English Studio pottery and joined a South American physical theatre group, âAmares Tearroâ in 2020.
She uses her Instagram account, âStudio AkSat By Akangsha Rawatâ to display her skills in pottery, art and craft.

In an interview, she revealed that her husband was on and off bedridden for the last 2.5 years of their marriage. She sold her mutual funds and other assets worth many lakhs during this period at his request.
She further revealed that her ex-husband Piyush owed her and her father Rs. 45 lakhs.
She has talked about his multiple assurances of repaying her money and later refusing to pay the money in an interview and said,
And, when he decided to quit the marriage, he promised me and my family that he will pay us back all the money that he owed me. He seemed very apologetic so we believed him, he was doing 2 shows âBeyhadhâ and âDevanshiâ at that point and earning almost Rs 5 to 7 lakh a month- so he could have easily returned our money but as soon as he moved out, he refused to pay me back.â
She often volunteers for NGOs and participates in welfare projects, helping with basic necessities and medical care.
In 2024, she took to Instagram to reveal that she had been celebrating her birthday on the wrong day. She revealed that the horoscope prepared by her grandfather was wrongly calculated in the Gregorian calendar as 12th September instead of 14th September.
She is an animal lover.
