As a student at Sainik School Tilaiya, Ajeet Bharti was part of various societies as well as the basketball team. He also won several awards in stand-up comedy acts and theatre.
He was a science scholar and the president of the school’s Electronics club.
During his undergraduate studies at Kirori Mal College from 2004 to 2007, he actively participated in literary fests and was one of the editors of the annual college magazine.
He started his career as an academic project coordinator at an Information Technology consulting company, Endeavour Systems Private Limited, Delhi, in 2007.
As a journalism postgraduate student (2008-2010) at Guru Gobind Indraprastha University in New Delhi, he wrote and published articles for various journals and in-house magazines.
He worked as an intern at The Times of India in 2010, then as a copy editor at The Economic Times till 2012, and then as a senior sub-editor at the Indo-Asian News Service until February 2013.
He worked as an Assistant Professor at the Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, New Delhi in 2013.
