Even though his father was a film director, he didn’t want Ahad Raza Mir to pursue acting.
While studying for a BBA, Ahad Raza Mir discovered his passion for acting and chose to leave his studies.
Before starting his career in Lollywood, Ahad Raza Mir began acting on stage and appeared in many theatre productions across Canada.
He trained as a theatre artist for 6 years, playing various roles such as Tony in West Side Story (2014), Caliban in The Tempest (2014), and Musa in Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo (2015).

There’s a strong competition for actors these days; you have to act, sing, dance and look good – all at the same time to get considered. You can be replaced in a second if you don’t have anything that sets you apart from others.”
