The matter went in Manchester Magistratesâ Court on 29 June 2010, and her brother was charged with âassault occasioning actual bodily harm.â On 21 January 2011, her brother was imprisoned for six months. The verdict of judge Roger Thomas QC in this case was, This persistent attack was accompanied by serious and very hurtful abuse and threats. It must have been a miserable and frightening experience for your sister which, she suggested, lasted for about three hours or so.
