| Controversy | Allegations by his Brother In April 2023, a social media post by his brother Junaid went viral in which Junaid made a series of allegations against Adnan Sami related to Sami's birthplace, education, and second wife, Sabah Galadari. According to Junaid, Adnan Sami was born on 15 August 1969 in a Rawalpindi hospital and not in England as Adnan Sami claims. Junaid also revealed that Adnan failed his O levels in England and got the degrees made from Lahore, and he later did his A levels privately in Abu Dhabi. Junaid accused Adnan of releasing an objectionable video of his second wife. Junaid claimed that Adnan never helped him grow his musical career and alleged that Adnan accepted Indian citizenship because India pays him well. Junaid also revealed that Adnan hid his Indian citizenship from his mother. According to Junaid, Adnan was once sent to jail in Canada during a major raid following which his father lost his Ambassador post and developed diabetes. Later, he went on to delete the post from social media. He also shared that Adnan had lied about his mother being an Indian. Sami began his career with English songs in 1986. His first song āRun for his lifeā was a hit in the Middle East and went right at the top spot in its first week on the music charts of the region.
Sami weighed 230 kg in 2006. The situation was so adverse that his knees had developed lymphedema for which he underwent surgery and was bedridden for nearly 3 months. After his doctor told his family that he would not survive more than 6 months if his weight remained the same, his father sent him to Houston to get his weight reduced. He moved to India in March 2001 on a visitorās visa which was extended time after time.
To celebrate their 70 years of broadcasting, BBC World Services, in December 2002, organized a worldwide live concert where artists from around the world performed in front of a global audience via satellite. Sami was named to represent India. TRP feedback later stated that the maximum global response was given to Samiās performance.
He sang the song āBoom Boomā from the 2003 Tamil coming-of-age film āBoys.ā

In 2003, he performed at Wembley Stadium show in London and the show was sold out for two consecutive nights. He became the only musician in Asia to achieve this feat; it was recorded in the Limca Book of World Records.
Sami became the first South Asian to have sold out Londonās iconic Wembley Stadium for a record 8 times.
He has lent his voice to many songs in numerous Bollywood films such as āSaathiyaā (2002), āKoiā¦ Mil Gayaā (2003), āGaram Masalaā (2005), āMy Name Is Khanā (2010), and āBajrangi Bhaijaanā (2015).
In 2004, he, along with Kalpana, lent his voice to the song āYe Jillaā from the Telugu comedy-drama film āShankar Dada MBBS.ā
