| Controversies | Criticised for praising Narendra Modi's decision In August 2019, after the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi removed the Article 370 from the Indian constitution, she praised Modi's decision and said that it was a historic step as this would help the residents of Jammu and Kashmir to mix with rest of the Indian public. Her comments were not well-taken by many Congress leaders who also requested High Command to take action against her. Defying Congress orders On 2 October 2019, she attended the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly program to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi . She was one of the few opposition MLAs to attend the function as the opposition had boycotted the program. Later, the Congress Legislature Party leader Ajay Kumar Lallu issued a show cause notice to Aditi Singh for violating the party's decision. Some Lesser Known Facts About Aditi Singh
Aditi Singh did her schooling at boarding schools in Mussoorie and Delhi as her father kept her away from their ancestral village Lalupur in Rae Bareli due to danger to her life.

She later completed her college education in the USA before returning to India in 2014 to take care of her father who was diagnosed with cancer.

Her father later announced Aditi as his political successor and the candidate from the Rae Bareli Sadar constituency for the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly as a Congress candidate.

Soon, she developed close relations with top Congress leaders such as Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra . She was also praised by the public for her approach towards social service and development.

She later became the National General Secretary of the women’s wing of the Indian National Congress and worked on a project named Priyadarshini to spread awareness about politics among girls.

She once said she was attracted to Angad Singh Saini during their first meeting. Many people criticised her for doing an inter-religious marriage with Saini.

On 14 May 2019, she was going to the district council office for the no-confidence motion against Awadhesh Singh, then district panchayat president when her convoy was attacked by more than 50 people carrying swords and stones who also pelted stones at her vehicle.
Two of the vehicles, including the car she was sitting in, were overturned during the violent attack in Raebareli’s Harchandpur area. She also suffered minor injuries.

While she and other Congress leaders accused the BJP of trying to kill an MLA, police authorities and many BJP leaders denied that such an attack had taken place.
There were rumours that she would marry Rahul Gandhi ; however, she denied them and said that such comments hurt her as Rahul was her Rakhi brother.

She joined BJP in 2021 and won the 2022 UP elections.

In February 2021, she donated Rs 51 lakhs for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

On 28 November 2021, her sister Devanshi got married to Viraj Sagar Das, grandson of Babu Banarasi Das and son of Akhilesh Das Gupta. Many people trolled her for getting her sister (Kshatriya) married to Das (Baniya) in an inter-caste marriage but she did not reply and said that it was her family’s matter.

Singh made headlines in 2024 with her tweet after the BJP announced Dinesh Singh as the party’s candidate for the Rai Bareli Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 General elections.
She posted a photo with her father and wrote ‘उसूलों के साथ कोई समझौता नहीं’ meaning ‘no compromise with the ideals or principles.’ It was claimed that Dinesh Singh’s brother, Awadhesh Singh, was responsible for a violent attack on Aditi Singh’s vehicle in 2019.

She is also associated with the DS Foundation, an NGO that works to provide vocational training to girls.
She has also served as a member of the Women and Child Welfare Committee of Uttar Pradesh.
