In December 2023, Abinesh Nadarajan maintained a 100 per cent tackle rate during season 10 of the Pro Kabaddi League. In an interview, Puneri Paltan’s coach praised Abinesh for his performance and claimed that Abinesh is a good player and should be considered to represent India at the Asian Kabaddi Championship. He said,
Abinesh is an outstanding defender. What we saw today, his timing, his anticipation was brilliant. In future, he can play in the Asian Games, and World Cups for India. He was integral to the team today and in the end, the captain (Aslam Inamdar) and vice-captain (Mohammadreza Shadloui) lifted him in front of his home crowd. It gave me immense pride and joy.”
