| Controversies | Suspended for Reportedly Engaging in Misconduct With A Dalit Teacher In 2014, Abhishek Singh, serving as the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Mathura, faced suspension by the Uttar Pradesh government over allegations of misconduct towards a Dalit primary school teacher named Fauran Singh. Singh was accused of summoning the teacher to his office and instructing him to perform sit-ups for failing to submit a report on time. Despite journalists' attempts to obtain a statement from the UP government spokesperson, no response was provided. Singh refuted the allegations and in an interview, he said that the accusations were incorrect. The state government later lifted his suspension. check sources The Economic Times Removal From The Post As Observer And Suspension From Service In November 2022, the Election Commission of India (ECI) relieved him from his duties as the General Observer of the constituencies Bapunagar and Asarwa during the Gujarat Vidhan Sabha elections. Reportedly, he was dismissed from the post after he took a picture of himself with his official car and uploaded it on social media. The ECI, in its letter, criticised him over the issue and called it a "publicity stunt." Some Lesser Known Facts About Abhishek Singh
Abhishek Singh is an Indian actor, entrepreneur, philanthropist, rapper, and a former administrative service officer who served in the 2011-batch Uttar Pradesh cadre. He is known for his appearance in the 2022 web series Delhi Crime 2, which premiered on Netflix.
After completing his formal education, Singh passed the UPSC civil services exam. Thereafter, he joined the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVNPA) in Hyderabad, Telangana. There, he trained to become a police officer.
As an IPS officer, he served in Mumbai at the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
Abhishek Singh once again took the civil services examination at his father’s request as, according to Abhishek, his father wanted him to pursue a career as an IAS officer. He successfully passed the exams, achieving a ranking of 94 in the All India Rank (AIR).
Upon getting selected, Singh attended administrative training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy Of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
After the completion of his training, Abhishek was allotted to the Uttar Pradesh cadre.
On 16 November 2016, he underwent an inter-cadre posting to New Delhi as a deputy commissioner. For this, he was shifted from the UP cadre to the AGMUT cadre.

His service period in New Delhi was extended for two years in 2018. He, however, was reverted to his home cadre in March 2020 after he took sick leave.

He adopted a neglected school in Shahdara, New Delhi, during his tenure as the deputy commissioner.
Thereafter, the BRICS Chambers of Commerce & Industry (CCI) appointed him as its honourary advisor.

Abhishek Singh established United by Blood, a nonprofit organization, in April 2021 with the intent of supplying blood and plasma to individuals in need. Moreover, the organization contributed to addressing the COVID-19 pandemic in India by offering assistance to authorities and distributing essential provisions, including food, to the underprivileged.
Thereafter, he started providing oxygen cylinders to the patients without charging money under the initiative OxyTaxi.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) made him an observer during the 2022 Gujarat state elections.
According to sources, the ECI removed him as an observer in November 2022 after he posted a photo on social media in which he posed in front of his government-allocated car.
In the same year, he appeared in a Netflix crime drama series titled Delhi Crime Season 2. While giving an interview, he talked about working in the series and said,
I was well-prepared for the role. I think the best part about this service is, it trains you to slog your way through with utmost dedication and sincerity. I applied the same principles to acting. However, as I approached the set, I got cold feet. I was reminded of the day when I was appearing for my IAS Interview. There I was, mentally prepared that I will be needing at least 7-8 takes for the first shot! But to my surprise the shot was approved in one take.”
Abhishek launched the No Shame Movement in October 2022 to assist women in dealing with the repercussions of intimate content leaks by their partners post-breakup. Sara Ali Khan has also endorsed the movement and is a part of it.

Abhishek, as an IAS officer, co-founded Students for Involved Governance and Mutual Action (SIGMA) along with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) students. It is a student think tank forum where students from various disciplines engage in discussions on diverse topics. It also helps the youth seek employment according to their educational qualification.
Abhishek has significantly contributed to funding the upkeep and repair of schools in underprivileged regions of India through his non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
His initiative, World of Wardi, which he started when he was in service as an IAS officer, was supported by known Hindi film industry personalities such as Sussanne Khan. This initiative seeks to provide a platform for individuals in the Indian Armed Forces to display their talents.
