Abhishek Chauhan is an Indian actor and theatre artist, who primarily works in Hindi films and web series.
He spent his childhood in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

He grew up watching Bollywood films, after which he developed an interest in working as an actor.
He loves cooking since childhood. Before he got interested in acting, he wanted to study culinary sciences and become a chef.
Before he began working in films and web series, he started his acting career in theatre. To pursue theatre, he went to Delhi, where he worked in many theatrical productions for three years organised at Delhi University. Some of the theatre companies at which he has worked include Tadpole Repertory, Actor Factor Theatre Company, and Kaivalya Plays.

After doing independent theatre in Delhi, he went to Mumbai, where he did acting training for a year (2016 to 2017) at The Drama School. In Mumbai, he performed at many theatrical productions for two years.
Apart from working as an actor in his debut web series âBaked,â he also worked as an assistant director.
In 2019, he was cast in a lead role as Piyush Prajapati in Sony Livâs comedy-drama web series âCubicles.â In the series, he played the role of a fresh-out-of-college boy, who got a job as a software engineer at an Indian IT firm. His performance in the series was very well received.

In 2020, he appeared in ALT Balajiâs 2022 crime thriller web series âBicchoo Ka Khelâ in which he played the supporting role of Goldie Singh.
In Sony Livâs 2020 crime web series âUndekhi,â he appeared as Rishi, a videographer. Rishi and Saloni, his partner videographer, travel to Manali for shooting a wedding, Rishi accidentally shoots the incident when the groomâs father murders a dancing girl.
In 2020, he was featured in an advertisement for the online dating platform OkCupid.
In 2022, he appeared in Amazon Prime Videoâs crime thriller web series âHush Hushâ in which actress Juhi Chawla and Soha Ali Khan were cast in lead roles. In the series, he played a supporting role as Vihaan in four episodes.
He played the role of Rajveer, a struggling actor, in Amazon Prime Videoâs 2022 comedy web series âMain Monicaâ in which after the disappearance of the most desired bar dancer, Monica, the police called him for enquiry as he had contacts with Monica.

In 2023, he appeared in Jio Cinemaâs popular crime thriller web series âAsurâ 2 starring Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi in the lead role. He played the role of adult Shubh Joshi in the series.
His inspirations are Indian actor Manoj Bajpayee  and veteran Hollywood actor Robert Di Niro as his inspiration.
In an interview, he talked about his acting journey, and how timing played a significant role in helping him as a newcomer. He said,
Being in the right place at the right time actually sums up my career for now. If it wasnât for doing selective roles, things surely would have been very different for a newcomer like me. When I took up Cubicles (2019-22) it was nowhere in my head that this series would work so well. The same goes for my film Bahut Hua Samman with legendary actor Sanjay (Mishra) sir. For that matter other projects too have actually worked in my favour.â
