Abhinayashree or Abhiyana Sri check sources South indian actress- Facebook page is an Indian actress and choreographer, who predominantly works in the Telugu and Tamil entertainment industries. She shot to fame in 2004 after performing the item number âAa Ante Amalapuramâ with Allu Arjun for the Telugu film Arya. Her performance in the Telugu film Paisalo Paramatma (2006) earned her the Nandi Award for Best Female Comedian in 2006.
Born to an actress mother, Abhinayashree was intrigued by showbiz since childhood.

She ventured into the entertainment industry at just the age of 12 when she appeared in Friends (2001). In an interview, she talked about the onset of her career and revealed that she caught the eye of the production team of âFriendsâ while playing on a street near her house. Apparently, her house was located near the production house of Friends. While remembering the incident, she said,
After knowing that I am a daughter of actress Anuradha, they came to my house and approached me to act in their film. Initially my mother denied it reasoning my education but it is me who insisted on acting with Vijay and Suriya.â
In the following year, she featured in the Tamil films Saptham as Jennifer, 123 as Jyothi, and Maaran for an item song. Her role in the film 123 also garnered immense appreciation from the audience.
She came into the limelight at the age of 15 when she shared the screen with Allu Arjun for an item number song titled âAa Ante Amalapuramâ in the 2004 Telugu film Arya.

The popularity of the song Aa Ante Amalapuram attracted similar opportunities, i.e. special appearance as an item girl in the films, for Abhinayashree in the following years. Weary of doing item songs, she announced that she would not be appearing in any more item numbers after her role in the film Aadivaram Adavallaku Selavu (2007). However, she soon changed her decision saying that being branded as an item girl would not hamper her chances of appearing in films as an actress.
In 2005, she played in the lead role for the first time in Telugu comedy Hungama appearing alongside Ali and Venu Madhav.
She garnered popularity for playing a comic role in the Telugu film Paisalo Paramatma (2006). The role led her to win the Nandi Award for Best Female Comedian in the same year.

Besides that, she has also appeared in numerous Tamil films like Agra (2007), Pathu Pathu (2008), Enga Raasi Nalla Raasi (2009), Palakkattu Madhavan (2015), and Boom Boom Kaalai (2021). Various Malayalam films under her belt include Pranayamanithooval (2002) and Nanma (2007).
